Dr Romanelli “Heritage” Inspiration S/S 2010
I spent the last year working on my S/S 2010 collection for Barneys Japan . The first 6 months were spent searching for the vintage quilts themselves. I found quilts dating back as early as the 1890’s. Majority of the patchwork/paneled quilts were from 1920-1940’s. I over dyed a % of them to tweak the aesthetic a bit. Its definitely one of my more intricate collections in terms of the reconstruction process. The linen is vintage deadstock from the 70’s and the buttons are from the 60’s. The collection will release in FEB at Barneys Japan .
