I took a similar approach with Camp Romanelli as I do with all of my collections. Identify the main theme, as in this case, the Boy Scouts, take enough time to research the theme , lock in on a few components of Scout culture/history as design themes , embrace/digest  the key inspiration which in this case was the significant colors found with the Scout patches, bandana’s, etc… and from there build the collection focusing on the many vintage details/stories as the main source of inspiration.
So many cool stories found on each individual Boy Scout piece via the amount of patches they earned, achievements they accomplished. Take a look …

These last 2 seasons consisted mostly of reconstructed vests . How to take the classic “puff” vest to another level via visual aesthetic, functionality, story , etc…

I just shipped Sophnet a limited edition collection of reworked University vests. All made from classic Letterman jackets and collegiate sweatshirts dating back as far as the 1940’s to 1980’s. Available exclusively at Sophnet in Tokyo.

For these pieces,  I created ten limited edition leather bubble vest crafted from G1 1940’s era leather bomber jackets.Each vest is numbered, signed by Dr. Romanelli for Canvas, satin lined and filled with whipped/recycled beans.
