The third in a series of exclusive free SoBe Squamata summer parties will be held in association with FYF Fest on Sunday, September 5th at a secret East Side location, which will be revealed on Saturday 4th. The party will be headlined by The Rapture and will also feature Big Freedia and Davila 666.

SoBe Squamata is curated by DRx Romanelli and commissions artist collaborations from renowned artists like Eric Elms, Craig Redman, Huf and Dita Eyewear.

The latest collaboration—“Made You Looks” sunglasses, by SoBe x DRx Romanelli x Dita—will be available in an exclusive new colorway inspired by Black and Blueberry SoBe Lifewater, and will drop at the 9/5 event.

Anachronorm is one of my favorite brands, has been for many years now . A  little Japanese company that does workwear really well. The great thing about Tomoki Tanushi is his distinctive style, a relaxed Americana approach, very casual , almost hippiesque. At the same time, it’s incredibly authentic workwear to the bone screaming pure quality and craftsmanship.

The collection I did with them is in two parts. The first is a easy to digest cut-and-sew collection.  We honed in on a small capsule collection of  traditional Anachronorm garments accented with Dr. Romanelli branding.
The second phase developed when Anachronorm sent me their premium vintage items from past seasons. I sat for two-and-half months with them, getting in touch with them so-to-speak, then deconstructed them to bring them back as a collection of bomber jackets and tote bags. They’re about 85 percent vintage Anachronorm and 15 percent new material, but they take on an entirely new life. I’m really pleased with this collection, especially the second phase of which I will release one jacket at time type of thing via my blog in coming weeks . The collections will be exclusively available at The Prescription Shoppe at Hostem in London and Anachronorm’s boutique in Japan .

Today we launched the 3rd collab product for the Sobe Squamata summer initiative.  A quick fix impulse sunglasses brand called MADE YOU LOOKS . I created these with my buddy Ian “Steady Rock” Edelman and my good friends over at Dita  . Must say the blister packaging came out real nice ! We flipped 3 colorways all inspired by Sobe flavors. Here are a couple summer pieces from the DRx Standard Issue collection with The Real McCoys. The “Doctor Dustoff” field shirt and shorts will be exclusively available at The Prescription Shoppe in London and The Real McCoys in Japan .

This fall I will be opening The Dr Romanelli Prescription Shoppe in London . The Shoppe will be connected to and aligned with James Brown’s HOSTEM boutique on RedChurch Street . The Shoppe will play host to my DRx line as well as a number of other collaborations that have been in developmen for quite sometime.  The first two drops releasing as a teaser this summer at HOSTEM will be the continuation of DRx’s Standard Issue with The Real McCoys and an upcoming Dr Romanelli line with Anachronorm. Here is one of the DRx jackets I flipped for new up and comer artist Mike Posner. I was introduced to Mike almost a year ago through his manager Daniel Weissman aka The Boss aka Young Bruce aka Manager of the Year. My agency StreetVirus was working on the WALE album packaging when The Boss turned me on to Posner . I couldn’t believe he was a junior at DUKE churning out such fresh sounds from his dorm room . I met up with him in LA shorty after and started working on some custom looks  . 10 jackets later , this one is hands down my favorite although the Red Wings one is a close  runner up . This reworked denim jacket  is made from European vintage military denim and Japanese vintage patchwork denim otherwise known as “Boro” which is 80-100 years old .
